We've just added a series of videos to the main tennis holidays website. We were very fortunate to be able to call on the expertise of John Paroussi. John who works for the BBC was one of our tennis holiday guests last September, and he very kindly came back out to film and produce the videos. Burnley Boys Best on The Blanca

As part of their affordable tennis holiday in the sun, members of the Crow Wood tennis Club in Burnley competed alongside local players in a tennis tournament organised by Gareth Pritchard, head tennis coach at the Montepiedra sports center, one of our primary tennis venues.

A series of round robin doubles matches took place and the four players who accumulated the most games competed in a play off final. Many congratulations to Mick Cryer and Mick Holden from the Crow Wood tennis Club in Burnley who beat Sean and Bob (two of Montepiedra's finest) in a high quality final.

Hope to see you all again next year boys, the locals want their trophy back!

The Costa Blanca South Tennis League was established last year and is sponsored by one of our main tennis holiday venues, the Sports Centre Montepiedra.

The league was established to allow teams up and down the coast a chance to play competitive matches against each other and it has attracted entries from a number of both Ex-Pat and Spanish clubs.

We will be featuring all the news and results from the league on our main tennis holiday website, because not only is this a shot in the arm for local tennis, it also offers even more tennis playing opportunites for our guests.

Visiting clubs will be able to play friendly matches against local opposition, as will tennis holiday teams assembled from the guests we have staying with us.

In addition to playing lots of great tennis many of our guests like to get out and about during their holiday. We provide all our guests with a detailed information pack, which among other things includes details of the local beaches, great places to eat and drink and things to see and do. With this in mind, we thought it would be good idea to showcase some of the featured material here on the tennis holiday blog.

A Great Day Out: Guadamar Del Segura

Guadamar Del Segura is a wonderful seaside town just a 20 minute drive from our guest accommodation. This is one of our favourite family day out destinations because just a couple of minutes walk from the fabulous beach is a large adventure play area and nature reserve. This is where we usually start off before strolling down to the beach for a bite to eat. The following pictures were taken during our latest day out to Guadamar on Sunday.

Padel Tennis, more commonly referred to as just Padel is a brilliant game that is incredibly popular in Spain and throughout Latin America and it's proving very popular with our tennis guests.

Our latest guest tennis venue at the Montepiedra Sports Centre is the leading Padel centre in the region. In addition to the excellent all weather artificial grass tennis courts, the centre also has 6 state of the art Padel courts. The centre is home to some of the top Padel tennis players in Spain.

Head tennis coach Gareth Pritchard runs social tennis sessions throughout the week at the centre, but if any of our guests also fancy a go at Padel during their stay, Gareth would be more than willing to show them the ropes.
